The buildings of the Saxon State Parliament are located directly on the banks of the Elbe river on the edge of the historic centre of Dresden’s Old Town between the Marienbrücke and Augustusbrücke bridges. The Semperoper opera house and Zwinger Palace border the grounds of the State Parliament to the south. To the north, the hotel housed in the former Erlweinspeicher warehouse, the Congress Centre, and the Yenidze (a former factory built in the style of a mosque) are distinctive visual reference points.

The Saxon State Parliament consists of an old building and a new building with separate entrances.

  • Old building entrance: Please use if you are visiting the parliamentary groups or State Parliament administration.
  • New building entrance: Please use if you are coming to observe the plenary sessions or visiting the Citizens’ Foyer with the exhibition “The Saxons’ Parliament”.
